Flat was OK and location great but we were woken between 4.30 and 6 every morning with a young child running and playing on laminate flooring above us. Not the relaxing time I'd hoped for.

My third stay in The Old Court House; my second in Hirta. The apartment was as I remembered - clean, comfortable and ideally placed for both walking from the door, and driving/exploring further afield. The location is stunning, and the small patio/terrace is a pleasant place to have a coffee (and feed the resident robin). Lunch at Plockton Shores was delicious and good value. The only minor issue was the private parking; I returned to base on two of my six full days, to find different vehicles parked in Hirta's space, which turned out to be people known to/visiting the owner. Whilst I totally understand local people making use of the space when the holiday let is empty, this really should not happen when a guest is staying there (the owner was apologetic) - perhaps a simple solution might be to place a laminated sign on a post at the head of the parking bay when someone is staying there?
