If you like outdoor adventure including climbing, walking and cycling you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg and Catbells. Nearby you’ll find Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. If you want to leave the car behind you can walk directly from the cottage to Castlerigg Stone Circle in about 15 minutes.
Keswick is a vibrant market town with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink as well as deli’s, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. It’s bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and the obligatory outdoor and fashion brands. If you like culture check out the Theatre By The Lake, 1¾ miles away, with award winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip.
