Once the owners’ much-loved family home, the cottage has been lovingly transformed into welcoming accommodation, ensuring guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the property enjoys far-reaching views from both the front and rear, with fields stretching towards the sea on the horizon, creating a wonderfully peaceful setting.
Perfectly positioned between the dramatic Yorkshire coastline and the North York Moors National Park, Hill Yard Cottage is an ideal base for discovering some of the region’s most treasured destinations. Just a mile away is Skinningrove, home to a beautiful stretch of golden sandy beach that’s perfect for family days out, rock pooling and coastal walks. Following the spectacular Cleveland Way National Trail along the clifftops leads you to some of Yorkshire’s most picturesque seaside villages and towns, including the charming fishing village of Staithes, the sheltered sands of Runswick Bay, the historic streets of Whitby, elegant Sandsend, the Victorian resort of Saltburn-by-the-Sea and the bustling seaside town of Redcar, all within a 30-minute drive.
