The owner of the cottage greeted us with a lovely smile and gave us all the information we needed when we arrived and we were made to feel very welcome. High Windy Cottage is a wonderful base for a very active (walking) or relaxing holiday. The scenery is spectacular. We would certainly like to return in the future. Thank you

The cottage is cosy and an ideal spot for holidays miles from anywhere. We enjoyed the lovely views and the warm fire in the stove.

Stunning location. Very quirky layout with low beams and door frames, be aware if tall! Would benefit from a make over, as it was tired in places.

Cottage is comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Conservatory is larger than it looks in the photo, with a 2-seater sofa and 2 chairs, all wicker, but with comfy cushions. There is also a radiator in there although we didn't need it. View is lovely. A little dark inside downstairs, particularly in the separate dining room where there is only one wall light and a lamp in an alcove. Pauline lives in the house next door and was very welcoming and helpful. Although the road runs right past the kitchen window, there is surprisingly little traffic. We live in a very quiet rural area and we didn't find it intrusive at all.
