Just needs another shower to accommodate the family’s needs. The upstairs bathroom would be ideal for a walk in shower room. When we had a problem, it was dealt with efficiently and in a caring way. A lovely place and we would stay again. Many thanks.

This cottage expanded on three sides provided excellent accommodation for our whole family but as has been previously suggested by previous guests the addition of a shower over the bath upstairs would be a great improvement. Seven trying to share one shower was less than ideal! The huge kitchen dining area was great and the kitchen area extremely well equipped with a great double oven, a large fridge and a dishwasher. The original kitchen near the front door that is now a games room was a huge attraction for our grandchildren equipped with a football table, Nintendo GameCube with a range of games and many other jigsaws, games etc. The cottage location near the top of the hill just 50 yards from a footpath up onto the fells leading to a superb viewing point over Lake Windermere was a plus for us, even though walking down into Bowness (or rather back up from Bowness) was challenging for those of us not as young as we used to be!

Had a week here in early June 2018. As a base for exploring the lakes the property is fine. It is a large house..easy to get lost at times!! We felt it could benefit from a deep clean, and some modernisation 're decor....also one shower is not sufficient really. No real outlook but if you are out exploring it doesn't matter. Also it is NOT a short walk to amenities so you will need a car!! Unusually there was no amenity package e.g. milk bread and juice but possibly because shops are so near

Beautiful place but would be much better with security lighting outside and an umbrella for patio. Would definitely stay here again.

The layout is perfect for families lounge, dining. We even managed to sit in the garden. The only problem is the heating and hot water , it needs upgrading. Fortunately, we brought supplies for the wood burner, and we needed it.

26th Feb-2nd March !! Challenging weather ! and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. A little adjustment on the heating and we were warm and cosy. Great position for walking and would recommend this cottage.
