Characterful lodge (with an interesting history!) looking out onto lovely gardens (magnolia was in full bloom). Warm and comfortable, though shower room/loo a little cramped, but not a problem for me. Kitchen has recently been revamped, well equipped. Very friendly and helpful owner lives next door so is on hand for any problems, not that I had any. On the edge of the New Forest, an easy drive to Burley, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst and other delightful places.

A fantastic, cosy hideaway with everything you could want for a restful break. Lots of wildlife in the garden and visiting deer just the other side of the fence. Great location for exploring the New Forest and Christchurch but equally well equipped for you to just stay in and enjoy the birdsong and company of the 2 resident chickens. The welcoming owners have thought of everything with a wealth of information on the area in the files and with touches like toiletries and tea/coffee for your first night. Would definitely stay again.

This is our 4th time staying at Heathfield Lodge, we have enjoyed each visit. The cottage is always spotless, and the garden well tended. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing break.

Excellent base for exploring the New Forest. Superb villages Burley, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst a short drive away. Fab walks in surrounding countryside especially northwards across the Forest. The cottage has loads of character and I found it warm and comfortable.

Had fantastic weather which helped us get the most out of the area. Facilities adequate but toilet area difficult to use the pan due to sloping ceiling over the pan. As we are getting on a bit in age would the last time to visit the area but would stay there again.
