Lovely cottage, spacious and good size bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of blankets as it was quite cold. Owners helpful and even made some scones ! Only drawback if you were on a longer holiday is lack of empty kitchen cupboard space to store provisions which is easily rectified. Would definitely return!

From the moment we stepped inside we loved this cottage. The outside area was perfect for us and for our little dogs (and would be fine for larger dogs too). One of our sausage dogs spent most of his time on patrol in the garden. The cottage was spacious and very warm. The owners were very welcoming and the dogs were well catered for, both indoors and out. Any questions or issues we had (a couple of blown light bulbs) were addressed immediately. The cottage itself appears to be in the middle of nowhere along single track lanes but pop in the post code and the satnav takes you right to the entrance of the property. That said, it didn't take long at all to get to the A39, Bideford and beyond. Westward Ho!, Appledore and Instow were particular hits for us, but check out the tide times if you want to get the most out of the beaches - the owners can help with this. It was raining for most our week so we sadly didn't explore the farm with the dogs in the way we would have liked, but on the plus side it was a great property to hunker down in and watch the weather, so the weather didn't matter really. There were only two human guests but this would be fine for many more, with it's entertaining spaces inside and out. We would definitely consider staying here again.

There were 7 of us.This included an 11month old and 4yr old plus two dogs. The accommodation provided enough space for us all. The owner left us some veg, home made marmalade and half a dozen eggs from their hens, which we all enjoyed. The games and outdoor toys went down well with the 4yr old and the rest of us. There was plenty of space for the dogs to run around plus secure garden.. While there, we visited Dartington Glass (cheaper during the week),The Gnome reserve which the young ones really liked and the Beach at Instow. We went for a meal at Bradworthy Inn and bought Fish and Chips from the van in Bradworthy. We all agreed that we would visit again!

We had a great holiday at cowslip. Our friends stayed in the neighbouring cottage. The owners were very accommodating and even provided us with complimentary wine to apologise for noise from work being done on farm that we were unaware of. Very remote location and beautiful grounds.
