Situated on the owners’ 300-acre, working dairy farm with some public footpaths passing through, these three semi-detached, converted barns are ideal for a relaxing holiday with a quiet lane passing by. Milk Churn (ref UKC2400) sleeps four, Hay Rick (ref UKC2401) sleeps 8 and Scrumpy Barn (ref UK12014) sleeps 6. They have all been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. The Milk Churn and Scrumpy Barn have an open plan living space, whilst Hay Rick offers a spacious living/dining room and separate kitchen. Each have private outside seating areas, with amazing views across the Devon countryside, which is perfect for sitting down at the end of the day with a glass of wine.
The properties are set in a quiet village location and are only a short walk from the local village pub/restaurant. There are many walks that can be taken on the farm, see the cows go in for milking or just enjoy the peace and quiet. Dartmoor is just a short car drive away, where you can enjoy a Devon cream tea in one of the small beautiful villages. Take a walk on the Tors or stop to see the ponies.

Exeter and Plymouth are both within a 30-minute drive. Plymouth has the Hoe, Barbican and many shops, and Exeter has its cathedral and quay. Teignmouth beach is less than 4 miles away and is ideal for a day out at the seaside. Visit Dawlish Warren, where you will find a nature reserve, beach, amusements and pubs. Torquay, Brixham and Dartmouth are also all worth visiting. Fans of Agatha Christie can visit Greenway, her family holiday home, which is open to the public. Beach 4 miles. We enjoyed a family reunion which was for only three nights and the rain fell incessantly. However, it didn't matter one jot! From the warm welcome extended by Janice (including a delightful cream tea!) to the wonderfully well equipped, spacious accommodation which catered for all our needs, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and look forward to a return visit. The Elizabethan Arms nearby was an added bonus, being in walking distance and providing excellent food in a friendly environment.

Our stay at Scrumpy Barn was wonderful. Nice little touches like plastic children's plates and picnic boxes. Owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners made us feel extremely welcome, the cottage was spotless and spacious. The highlight for us was the tour of the dairy farm including getting the cows in, seeing the milking, the calves and pigs and giving us a greater understanding of how our milk arrives in our tea and the dedication of the farmers to their livestock. The cottage is a perfect location for exploring several points of interest and there is a good pub a five minute walk away and free range eggs next door. A fantastic holiday and we will certainly return.

We had a lovely week in this new modern apartment. It has an amazing galleried en-suite to the master bedroom and the bathroom has the best shower we've come across in a long time. The location is quite rural (think single lanes with passing places) but there is an excellent pub only 200 yards away. The owner very kindly left us a Devon cream tea which kept us going for at least 2 days. You won't be disappointed if you visit.

Excellent hosts, a beautiful well presented property equipped with everything you might need. Quiet location with a pub within walking distance that does great food at good prices and a variety of real ales. Many tourist locations/attractions within short driving distance.
