We spent a lovely week at No. 19. The cabin is wonderfully well equipped with very comfortable sofas, comfortable beds, lots of hot water, lovely wrap around deck and a superbly well equipped kitchen with a full size fridge freezer. The location is very out of the way and the site has no facilities to speak of (no reception or games room or shop) which was lovely for us as we wanted to get away from everything but might feel a little isolated if you are used to more hustle and bustle. A car is absolutely essential. Parking is perfect on the site (a few steps from the cabin), and the fishing lakes which form part of the site are just lovely. We took our dog and there is plenty of walking to keep dogs entertained. Because of the remote location, visiting places takes a while and the country lanes surrounding the site can be quite narrow - all of which, however, appealed to us and added to the ‘far away from it all’ feeling. Well worth visiting Clovelly (15mins), Widemouth Bay (30 mins) and, of course, a trip to Trago Mills at Liskeard (70 mins)!! Thanks for a lovely week and hopefully we will be back next year :)

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are so glad you enjoyed the lodge. It’s exactly why we enjoy the place so much. We start relaxing as soon as we turn off the highway.

Very nice place - perfect for a break away. Hard to get hold of people if problems arise though. Impossible to read in the lounge in the evenings as the lighting was very poor.
