Peaceful and quiet yet within walking distance of Aberlour’s interesting shops and eateries, the house makes a wonderful base to relax and enjoy the area’s many attractions. Accessed by a gate from the rear garden, the Speyside Way, as it is known, meanders through the village, through Strathspey down to Tomintoul taking in many well known distilleries on the Whisky Trail - ideal for walkers and cyclists alike. There is a large choice of golf courses within an hour’s drive and fishing can be arranged on the river with day permits available locally. The excellent beaches of the Moray Firth are just 20 miles away, notably Lossiemouth and Nairn, and the historic town of Elgin with its cathedral and Cashmere Centre is worth a visit. Come and enjoy! We absolutely loved our stay at Haugh House. It was perfect for our family get together. Great location - having the local shops and cafés so close as well as the play park and riverside walks right on the doorstep. The steak pie from the local butcher was amazing. Views of the river were lovely and the space in the house was perfect for the 10 of us and the two dogs. We had a fab time and hope to return.
