Set below the rolling Herefordshire countryside, this welcoming rural retreat sleeps five guests and makes the most of its wonderful lovely views. The real highlight is the impressive wooden-roofed conservatory, a spacious and characterful room with exposed timbers, comfortable seating, a dining area and large windows framing the surrounding fields and wooded hills. It is a lovely place to gather for meals, relax with a book or simply watch the landscape change throughout the day.
The cottage also has a comfortable living room, a well-equipped kitchen and three bedrooms with two doubles and one single. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath. Outside, the front terrace is furnished for dining and relaxing in the fresh air, while the back garden offers further outdoor space, with a patio and more furniture. Private parking is available for two cars, and dogs are welcome.
Although peaceful and rural, the cottage is just a mile from the nearest pub and is well placed for exploring the Herefordshire and Worcestershire countryside. The traditional market town of Bromyard is close by, with timber-framed buildings, independent shops, cafés, pubs and a thriving calendar of festivals and events. Pick up local produce from Legges of Bromyard, a popular farm shop, butcher and delicatessen, or visit nearby Mill Bank Coffee Co, a family-run speciality coffee roastery on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border.
Walkers can explore the open countryside of Bromyard Downs and Bringsty Common, both known for their wildlife. The National Trust’s Brockhampton estate is also nearby, where waymarked trails wind through traditional orchards, woodland and parkland surrounding a medieval manor house. Families may enjoy the imaginative gardens and seasonal attractions at Ralph Court Gardens, while horse riding and fishing can both be found within 5 miles of the cottage.
For a longer day out, visit the cathedral city of Hereford, explore Worcester’s historic streets and riverside, or head towards the Malvern Hills for rewarding walks and exceptional views. The attractive market towns of Ledbury and Leominster are also within reach, offering antique shops, local food, historic buildings and plenty of places to stop for lunch.
Please note: the owners live next door, and an LPG gas tank is located on site at the rear of the property.
