Absolutely fantastic cottages, central to lots of fun walking paths and site seeing. Cottages were cosy, hot tub was lovely with a great view. Owners were so helpful and friendly, made us and our young dog feel very at home. Great area, could have benefited maybe a gate to stop access to the main road for the dogs. Overall fantastic stay. Would definitely go again.

The cottage was lovely the only thing we struggled with was walking the Dog after dark. Personally for us we need more of an enclosed garden to let the dog loose. But apart from that the cottage was nice and comfortable and close to Alston. We would go back but maybe in the summer months when we can easily walk out after 5pm.
