The cottage was lovely and in a beautiful location! The noise from the flat above us was rather loud so it caused some disruption to our sleep on the first night but then they left and it was fine. Double bed mattress was not the most comfortable but for ok for a short holiday. The hot tub experience was very nice! The nearest village of Alston has all essentials available and it's cute little village to explore by walking. We did the train journey to Slaggyford and back which was nice but felt the price is little high. Overall it was a nice relaxing break and we would recommend this cottage. Tom and Susan were excellent hosts!

Everything at the cottage was better than we had hoped for. We rented two cottages here as there was a few of us. Lovely location, owners were very helpful and kind. We definetly recommend it and would love to return sometime soon.
