Harbour Hill cottage was perfect, clean, warm and very comfortable. Plenty of room for the whole family and a secure garden for our little dog, Molly. We had a warm welcome with milk, tea and coffee provided on our arrival. The location was good, although further out of the village than we had thought and no pavements to walk into Chickerell.

A lovely clean cottage in a quiet location, just a short drive to the town. Well placed for all the coastal attractions. Would definitely recommend and would book again.

Harbour Hill was a fantastic holiday cottage within a good location for visiting all the local sites and beaches. It was very clean, brilliantly equipped and even had milk in the fridge and fresh flowers on the table. Although a car is a necessity if staying here, it was a short journey to a range of shops and a very good pub (The Turks Head) with good food at affordable prices. I would not hesitate to recommend Harbour Hill to others wanting to stay in this area and I would happily re-book the cottage myself. A great cottage and a lovely holiday.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here and it's simple a home a from home for our family and gives us a fantastic base to enjoy the sights of dorset. The hosts are fantastic with a nice welcome pack being there on arrival and the home grown tomatoes which I grilled set off my mixed grill perfect.

Although the location said pub in a mile impossible to walk. The owner jumped down our necks as soon as we arrived asking us to move our car. Rather rude no welcoming pack or even a pleasant hello, awful! At no point did it state 3 floors either.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments; you are right the pub is accurately described as within a mile from Harbourhill. However, it is not impossible to walk at all, what I believe you mean to say, is that there is no footpath, you do have to walk on the country road to get to the pub, but by no means is this impossible and is often done by many of our guests who stay with us. We are sorry if you feel that we ‘jumped down your necks’ regarding the parking. We do have to be mindful of our neighbours and we do have designated off road parking areas for Harbourhill. The property description for Harbourhill is accurate; it has to be for the Agency and clearly states there is a bedroom on the second floor. We do supply a welcome pack consisting of plenty of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and flowers for all of our guests on arrival.

We love dog walking in Weymouth area, so this location is great. Would have preferred info re where dogs are not allowed in cottage to be in description before booking (not on sofas or upstairs), but it was ok for us. Furniture on hard side, but plenty of cushions and pillows! Cottage clean, warm and well stocked if you forget anything (cleaning stuff, tea, coffee and milk). Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Good, enclosed back garden.
