Description

This beautiful cottage is set amongst landscaped gardens in a pretty Scottish harbour town making it ideal for couples or small families.

Situated in mature landscaped gardens, this beautiful, detached cottage, adjacent to the owners’ home, is just a short walk into the pretty harbour town of Kirkcudbright. Locally known as the artists town, Kirkcudbright offers many festivals throughout the year, including Scottish nights, classic car rallies, historic walks, a medieval fayre, a jazz festival and a spectacular Tattoo, as well as a good selection of pubs and restaurants. With a large variety of outdoor pursuits on offer, including fishing, horse riding in the Galloway Forest Park, cycling, golf and watersports, there is fun for all the family. Threave Garden and Estate, owned by the National Trust, proves to be a popular visitor attraction. We has a lovely break. Messages from Andy before we arrived were welcomed. Cottage was of a very high standard. So if it was too wet outside to go out we were quite happy to stay indoors. Lovely and warm. Kirkcudbright and surrounding get countryside were delightful.

What a treasure this place is, ticked all our boxes and so much more. Know where we will be staying on our next visit. "HAMEISH" was such a great find. By far the best place we have stayed in the area.👍😁

We have stayed in several cottages over the years and some have been on the wrong side of grim so it was a huge relief to find that Hameish cottage was as beautifully clean and well equipped as we had expected. The very welcoming owner was there to greet us and show us what we needed to know so no hunting around for keys in obscure places as we have had in the past at other cottages. As I cook regularly at home I don’t cook at all on holiday but the kitchen was so well equipped that anything would have been possible. A lot of careful thought and planning has gone into both the renovation and presentation of the cottage, everything very comfortable, warm and peaceful.
