Good location, plenty to do in the area and good local walks. Some of the rooms in the bungalow require updating.

Response on behalf of the owner; In this small country village we are lucky enough to have a pub open 7 days a week serving excellent food, a deli open from 8 til 4pm every day except Mondays, a free lending library in the old telephone kiosk, a church open every day including coffee morning on Mondays and a sports field. Other amenities are within 4 miles and we are surrounded by footpaths and woodland. The bungalow accommodation is 1950s and the decor is retro in keeping with the age of the property.

Great location with really long dog walks from the house. Fantastic pub in the village which has a new Deli which stops you making too many tips to Ashbourne to supermarkets. Very quiet location and well equipped bungalow with a great garden and some lovely views. Sofas in the lounge have low backs so not as comfortable as some other furniture. Great place to chill and unwind.

From the outside the bungalow is set on a lovely plot with pleasant views, but unfortunately the in side of the property was a massive letdown. Although cleanish it is very dated but worst of all very very cold, ok we did visit in winter but warmth is a pretty basic requirement, the storage heaters are useless not helped by the single glazed windows, to be fair this probably would not be an issue in the warmer months. The sofas and chairs in the living area are small and uncomfortable also are the mattresses which are thin and back breaking, the bathroom sadly is no better the shower curtain was moldy at the bottom and the shower was like standing under a leaking tap. All in all a real shame, should the owners spend a little on the property to get it to the standard you would expect should be.

We had a lovely time during our stay over Christmas. The property was very comfortable and warm. Would love to come again for a longer break in the spring or summer to appreciate the countryside to visit the surrounding area.
