Our family of 4 (and a dog) had a wonderful week. The cottage has everything you could ever need, it is very well equipped. The owners gave us great tips for walks and cafes (Jill's catering in Catton & Carriages in Bellingham, both great). We highly recommend going to Vindolada ruins and the army museum. Our kids (11 & 9) loved both sites. Kielder forest is not too far either. Hexham is also a wonderful town to walk around, relax an eat out. If weather allows the outdoor pool in Haltwhistle is also very good although on the expensive side. The walk from Steel Rigg and Housestead is also a must do with breathtaking views. We would have happily stayed another week.

Loved it views 'to die for'. It would be helpful if there were handles in the other walk in shower as it meant that there were 3 people sharing shower the one with adaptations. We would be very to return.
