The cottage has been renovated but still enjoys feature beams, a stone inglenook fireplace and a cosy wood burner, thus retaining character and charm throughout.
The cottage is ideally situated for visiting the whole of this friendly and unspoilt county and is within easy driving distance to many attractions. Alnwick Castle is only 15 miles away and the pretty market town of Rothbury only 8½ miles. The local National Trust properties, Cragside and Wallington Hall are both within easy reach, with Cragside being especially beautiful in June when the rhododendrons are in flower. The coast is only 13 miles away, with miles of golden beaches and all set along the Northumberland Heritage Coast, which features many castles and places of interest to visit. Slightly further afield is Kielder Water, set in the wonderful International Dark Sky Park. The bustling town of Morpeth is only 9 miles away and has plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Indeed, Northumberland offers a diverse choice of attractions, having an acclaimed National Park, beautiful beaches in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as the culture, shopping and gastronomic diversity available in Newcastle upon Tyne. Geenyard Cottage is well placed for either visiting these attractions or simply relaxing in the private garden. Beach 13 miles, Shop 2 miles, pub/restaurant 1 mile.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
