The main portion of a traditional Lakeland house, Greenacres offers stylish and up to the minute facilities in the very heart of romantic Grasmere. That all important parking place is provided to enable you to ‘explore from the door’ one of the many wonderful high or low level walks or simply meander around this beautiful, peaceful village and take in the majesty of the location. Blessed with a good selection of eateries by way of good pub grub and the renowned ‘Jumble Room’, the village also has a superb grocery store stocked with locally produced meats, dairy and other delicious offerings.
Spacious, comfortable and beautifully styled, Greenacres provides delightful views of the surrounding fells, a sight that has inspired so many over the centuries. Two good bedrooms offer quality mattresses dressed with Egyptian cotton to ensure a restful sleep and the bathroom is fit with a power shower for a refreshing wakeup before a day on the fells. The open plan living space on the first floor is the perfect social space, allowing each of you to join in with preparing dinner and share a glass or two of your favourite tipple whilst taking in some more of the scenery or choose from a variety of films available via the large Smart TV. Beach 25 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurants ¼ mile.

Green acres is a very well equipped cottage in a great location, just off the main high street in Grasmere and on top of all local amenities and some great walks. Despite being in the thick of things, it’s very quiet. The rooms are large, light and airy with big windows from which to watch local birds feed from the bird feeders that have been hung in trees outside. Helpful local information was provided and small details had been considered to make our stay comfortable, such as a welcome bottle of milk and water along with a supply of tea, coffee and condiments. I can highly recommend this property and would return without hesitation.

Lovely comfortable, spacious maisonette in scenic location very close to a bus stop. Beautiful walks nearby. Tweedies and Good Sport both excellent for food and ales. Ideal place to stay !

We were not told that the house, Green Acres, was two households. This should be made clear at booking. The property deserves 10 overall but not if the booking page is not clear about the shared occupancy.
