A lovely cottage with fabulous views! When we arrived we found wine, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us. The cottage was very clean, had a well equipped kitchen and plenty of towels. It is very dog friendly and has a large secure area where we could take our dog. The cottage is in a great location for fabulous walks and Jethro’s in Haltwhistle is a must for fantastic breakfasts and sandwiches! We will definitely be returning.

The cottage was beautiful, lovely views from front room patio doors, kitchen well equipped, lovely clean towels in each bedroom, parking at rear of property is shared with the next cottage is a bit tight, large walled, secure meadow for the dog's to run around and exercise. The issues we had with the property was the double bed which was a small double was very uncomfortable, didn't get much sleep tossing and turning, springs in the mattress were crunching, the mattress was stained not sure what with??? The bath I had to clean as there was a white powdery residue from not being rinsed properly, the bath only holds about 10 inches of water as the system is a hot water tank, the shower screen was coming away from wall, the previous review in August stated the towel radiator didn't work we were there October and it still doesn't, the kitchen cupboards have the melamine coming away because of the steam from the kettle which is underneath, base cupboard next to oven smells badly of damp, down the side of washing machine was full of cobwebs, freezer compartment we couldn't use as the handle was broke, in the downstairs bedroom there was a broken window which we were told it was the previous guests had damaged it and someone was coming Wednesday to gave a look which they didn't turn up, tried to hoover up and the hoover has not been emptied in a long while, if I can attach pictures I will. We were told to arrive for 4 pm instead of 2 pm as the cleaners need to do a deep clean樂 we noticed they were next door cleaning and were finished within an hour, my wife was a cleaner and she said there is no way you can deep clean a 2 bedroom cottage in an hour, I'm a maintenance operative and the amount of jobs I found to make it better was unbelievable.
