Walking, running and cycling are popular activities, and the official Glencoe to Oban cycle/walking path (Route 78) passes nearby. Cycle hire, boat hire and horse riding are also available locally. The foot ferry, 3 miles, takes visitors to the beautiful island of Lismore via a short crossing. Set almost midway between Oban and Fort William, it is an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the surrounding area. Golf courses can be found in Oban, Ballachulish and Fort William. Glencoe and Fort William offer mountain climbing, walking and skiing in season. Oban offers boat trips to the Islands, including Mull and Iona. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
