We had a lovely time at Gareside Lodge. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and the smell of bread baking in the bread maker. It was very cosy and comfortable.

The lodge is lovely. It is small, but the space has been very well used; it is beautifully laid out and is well equipped and comfortable. Much thought has gone in to making it welcoming. The only real problem is the limited headroom in the bedrooms, which makes getting in and out of bed difficult on the sloping ceiling side for anyone a bit stiff and clumsy like me, but my 6'2" son seemed to adapt quickly to his room. The garden is a good place to sit in the evening, and the location of the lodge is perfect for exploring. I can thoroughly recommend it, and wish we could have stayed longer.

Great holiday loads to do locally and the cottage was perfect very comfortable clean and facilities were fantastic. Ideal location for touring even up to Oban and local food supplies and eating out were spot on. Our two dogs are deaf and blind so the garden was up steps and away from the cottage so not perfect although the garden was a safe haven with the gate shut but easy safe access from the house would mean no leads on to let them out. That wasn't a big issue though in comparison to the quality and facilities on offer here. We would definitely return in all weathers so warm and cosy. Thanks to the owners lovely !!

Great cottage. Underfloor heating was fantastic - the dog especially liked this! Welcomed by a bottle of wine and fresh bread and the kitchen was well stocked with items you'd need, including salt, sugar, cooking oil etc. Lovely private garden at the side. Bedrooms have graduated ceilings because of the roof but still plenty of room. Make sure you take lots of £1 coins as they are needed for the electricity meter (something we didn't know beforehand). Waitrose about a 10 minute drive away.
