This was the second time we stayed at Garden Cottage this year once again we had a wonderful stay even though the weather was a bit bad at times, David and Lou provided all you need to entertain yourselves on a rainy day. Although we did not see David & Lou as they were away they somehow new it was our anniversary & left us card a bottle of prosecco which was a lovely surprise, this is one of best ways cottages we have stayed in, pub just facing friendly and good food. Roll on our next stay

We have stayed in many holiday cottages but few come near the thought that went in to equipping this lovely cottage. david and Lou were perfect hosts, along with their two lovely dogs. We both felt completely at home almost as soon as we walked in. Impeccably clean and tidy. Nicely thought out welcome package. Would stay again in a breath.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your kind comments Colin, hope to see you back in Tetford one day.

The cottage itself could not have been better. All the home comforts were available, making us feel comfortable from the outset. David and Lou could not have been more welcoming. The best overall cottage that my wife and I have stayed at. I can’t recommend it enough.

Everything about it, on all levels, from the pre-arrival information, welcome, location, cleanliness, high standard of the accommodation was spot on with superb attention to detail. What an incredible place! The cottage is so well appointed and David and Louise couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome if they had tried. Plenty of space for 4 people and simply divine views from the master bedroom. A great location for exploring the Lincolnshire coast but also inland areas such as Woodhall Spa. My boys loved Boss and Bean, the dogs, and it was a lovely touch to leave dog biscuits for us to treat them. The playing field next door is a great space to let the kids run around and there are plenty of cycling and walking routes nearby. Would highly recommend Tattershall Castle for a day trip. The pub over the road is a missed opportunity. We loved it and may well return in the future

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Hi Lindsay, thanks so much for your great review, much appreciated. David & I enjoyed having you all to stay, as did our boys.

Unfortunately we arrived when Lincolnshire Wolds were having the worse rain they have had in a very long time. Roads were flooded and some villages cut off. But that was OK because David and Lou had thought of everything should there be stormy weather!! A comprehensive list of DVDs and a trunk full of games and books galore. The cottage is fantastic and wants for nothing, everything you need for a peaceful comfortable break. Lovely view of the garden while washing the dishes ! Great dog walks in the playing field behind the cottage. Very (dog) friendly pub across the road, you'll need a snooze after the Sunday lunch. We really loved the area and highly recommend Garden Cottage. Thanks David and Lou we'll be back

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; And thank you both for being wonderful guests and now good friends, next time we’ll try for better weather.
