Unfortunately we arrived when Lincolnshire Wolds were having the worse rain they have had in a very long time. Roads were flooded and some villages cut off. But that was OK because David and Lou had thought of everything should there be stormy weather!! A comprehensive list of DVDs and a trunk full of games and books galore. The cottage is fantastic and wants for nothing, everything you need for a peaceful comfortable break. Lovely view of the garden while washing the dishes ! Great dog walks in the playing field behind the cottage. Very (dog) friendly pub across the road, you'll need a snooze after the Sunday lunch. We really loved the area and highly recommend Garden Cottage. Thanks David and Lou we'll be back

Response on behalf of the owner; And thank you both for being wonderful guests and now good friends, next time we’ll try for better weather.

had a great weeks stay at garden cottage, it had everything we needed , it is very comfortable has lots of charm and character, and also a very large playing field and other fields which our dog loved just behind the cottage. We would certainly stay there again.

The cottage is very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We were met with a selection of goodies and were made to feel very welcome. We took our dog with us and the White Hart pub across the road is very dog friendly and perfect for an evening meal after a day out exploring the area. There are lots of places of interest around and if like us, you don't mind a drive out, many lovely towns and villages are in easy reach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in this lovely cottage.

Thank you David and Lou for the warm welcome. First time in Lincolnshire and Garden cottage which had everything we needed. We have stayed in a lot of other houses and they have never been as well equipped as Garden Cottage. We will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

A beautiful cottage, very well equipped and very clean, set in a lovely location. Pub across the road, not the poshest of pubs but good food. Sadly we had to leave a day early due to an unexpected hospital appointment, but we will definitely return.

Everything you want in a village country cottage. Friendly owners who were very helpful. Well equipped with all you need. Pub opposite was disappointing- a missed opportunity to create something really special.

Not very private, could do with a deep clean, a full length mirror and a wardrobe in master bed , hanging place for clothes poor.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review of Garden Cottage, it is useful to obtain guest feedback, although it is a shame you didn’t mention anything when we asked you if everything was to your satisfaction. We do have a very large chest of drawers in the main bedroom as well as a hanging rail with 20 hangers, but being an old cottage with sloping ceilings it is virtually impossible to put in a full size wardrobe. A full length mirror is something we will certainly look at providing in the future. However, getting a score of 1 for local amenities and 4 for location are ratings we can do little about in rural Lincolnshire. Tetford is a quiet village with a country pub and lots of wonderful walks and scenery on the doorstep, but obviously this is not what you wanted.
