A well equipped cottage, with very friendly owners living on the same site on the opposite side of the driveway. They have rented for many years and their vast experience showed. Even though they have had lots of guests we felt special as they showed genuine interest in our family. There is a lovely sandy beach under a mile away and there is free parking nearby. Highly recommended

The location is very quiet - if you want a proper getaway, come to North Wales and stay in one of these cottages. We had a friendly greeting upon arrival in early evening and were given a house tour before being left to our own devices. The owner has decades of experience in holiday rentals and it shows in the quality of preparations and the standard of the cottages. The cottages have an upside down layout - bedrooms and bathroom downstairs - but it seems to make more sense when you return tired at the end of a day and just want to go to bed. The central heating works splendidly - we visited in November, but were very comfortable. My only complaint would be a comment upon bed comfort - I would have liked a more supportive single bed mattress, having become accustomed to the magic of Tempur mattresses in hotels, but my fellow guests were perfectly fine, so this was only my personal observation. I've only given a 6/10 score for local amenities because it's a small village, but the town of Pwllheli is just down the road - complete with supermarket(s) and eateries - and you literally only have to follow your nose to drive straight into the ASDA car park. I couldn't really comment upon value for money as this was my first cottage rental, but less than £25 per person per night for a home away from home is quite reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
