Excellent food is available in the Horse and Farrier and ’pub grub’ in the Salutation inn, both within 400 yards. The vibrant town of Keswick is only three miles and can be reached on foot by walking along the old railway line. Here you will discover a wealth of amenities and visitor attractions.
Foxhole is one of the oldest cottages in the village and has characteristic oak beams, low ceilings, uneven floors, a wood burner and a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. The garden has a parking space for one car and enjoys lovely views onto the fells. The cottage is in the heart of the village with great walking from the door to suit all abilities and a short stroll to the children’s playground and the pubs. Keswick is an easy walk along the old railway line and there is a regular bus service through the village. The owner has thoughtfully provided toys, games, books and maps which you are welcome to use. This two bedroomed end of terrace family cottage is small but cosy and you’re sure to have a lovely time here and leave with lasting memories..
