Nestling on the shores of Loch Portree, this holiday property offers wonderful views across the bay to the Cuillin mountains.

With wonderful views across the bay to the Cuillin mountains, this traditional crofter’s cottage nestles on the shores of Loch Portree and offers spacious accommodation. Built around 1850, it has been lovingly restored, with the living room and kitchen situated on the first floor to take advantage of the fine views. Set just feet away from the lapping shores of the loch, the views can also be savoured from the seating area of the attractive terraced garden, which is reached by a steep path. Altogether a peaceful, yet central location – being just 5-minutes’ walk from the town centre. Shops 1/2 mile.

Great location. Hot water boiler packed up but took a few days to get repaired as tradesmen disn't turn up as requested. Apart from that, no problems. Comfortable and cosy.

Lovely upside down cottage right on the loch with beautiful views across the water from living room and kitchen upstairs. Easy 3 minute walk into centre of Portree to pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes. The cottage itself could do with a little updating. Beds are comfortable, just rather squeaky when rolling over. Electric heaters, but the one in the living room wasn’t working. This however didn’t really matter as there was a lovely wood burning stove. Electric shower was rather week. Overall a good option in an excellent location, could just do with a little updating to be perfect.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable week in this lovely, well positioned and fully equipped cottage. The views are brilliant and it's lovely having meals overlooking the changing scenery with the mountains in the background. We appreciated all of the thoughtful touches around the cottage and hope to be able to stay here again in the not too distant future.

The cottage was nice and great views but the toilet would not flush most of tome had to bale it. The bed squeaked and cracked frame. Matress very soggy..Little dirty round lights in kitchen which were not working until we tweeted them. Kettle dirty. Overall a lovely place and would go again bit bit of maintenance needed.

Good location, amazing views, cosy, good layout. A lot of the 'stuff' could do with a good clean or being chucked out (e.g. dried flowers/ornaments, the endless coasters, games with bits missing, piles of grubby out of date leaflets etc).
