Description

Sitting in a rural location, this superb property bursts with original features and nestles within 17 acres of wooded grounds.

Sitting peacefully in a rural location, this superb example of a detached threshing barn conversion bursts with original features including cast-iron driving wheels, stone walls and exposed beams. It has ground source underfloor heating throughout and nestles within 17 acres. This includes 5 acres of woodland to enjoy, bordered by the River Teifi, known for its fishing with panoramic views towards the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. The holiday property has been tastefully decorated with oak furnishings, a contemporary-style kitchen, two living areas (one with wood-burning stove) and two fantastic balconies, ideal for watching red kites and buzzards soar over the magnificent scenery. There is also a wooden clad room with a hot tub and doors leading out to the garden. Located between the historic village of Llanddewi Brefi with its famous church, and the small market town of Tregaron, well known for its walks, Red Kite Centre and trotting races. Nearby are the harbour towns of Aberystwyth and Aberaeron, which have great restaurants and boutique shops. Aberystwyth also offers a narrow gauge railway, castle grounds, art centre and live theatre/music. The Machynlleth Alternative Technology Centre 15 miles north is also worth a visit and outdoor activities for the family include walking, mountain biking, horse riding, bird watching, fishing-boat trips and golf. Shop 2 miles, pub 1½ miles.

The accommodation was excellent, a very tastefully converted mill with all modern conveniences that you could ask for, while set in the beautiful welsh countryside. It was clean on arrival and the owner was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this to a family who are looking to escape to the country and explore the surroundings.

Excellent holiday property with plenty of space, well finished and equipped and very peaceful. Hot tub is an added bonus with great views. Good for groups getting together and families alike with plenty to keep everyone entertained.

It was a pleasure to stay at Feline Hedd; Aled was a very helpful host and the accommodation was large enough to sleep our two families. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding property in a very peaceful location. Aled was a fantastic host, very helpful and knowledgable, but not at all intrusive. Great stay visiting the coast (Aberystwyth, New Quay and Aberearon) and oak well theme park (great for kids - 10 and 13 year olds). Locally great walks, (Devils bridge, Hafod -stunning scenery). Y Talbot local pub and restaurant was fantastic. The barn was extraordinarily well equipped (in the kitchen, books, games and so much more) with far more than I’ve ever seen in a rental cottage before. We also used the hot tub and thouroughly enjoyed the outside space (including a picnic area by the river), the kids loved the air hockey in the games room. Would definitely recommend, for relaxing, quality family time.

Surprise 30th birthday trip was a huge success. Blown away by the huge cottage and facilities all to hand. Cosey, break away plenty of fun hidden away in the peaceful surroundings and hot tub to enjoy.
