Ideally situated with views of the English Channel and within a short distance from the seaside towns of Brighton and Eastbourne.

Fairwind is a detached bungalow perched at the top of the cliffs, with a covered outdoor swimming pool in the rear garden. Uninterrupted sea views of the English Channel can be enjoyed from the garden or the comfort of the living room. The sleepy seaside town of Peacehaven offers stunning clifftop walks or a beach walk accessed via a ramp a couple of hundred yards from Fairwind. The Greenwich Meridian dividing east and west, runs through the town and there is a marker on the cliff top close to Fairwind where the 0 degree longitude line travels from the cliffs and out to sea. 6 miles to the east is buzzing Brighton where you can visit The Royal Pavilion, explore The Lanes or view the coastline from the British Airways i360 tower, named the most slender tower by the Guinness World Records in 2016. Enjoy a stroll along the pier or visit the oldest operating aquarium in the world with its original Victorian architecture. The port of Newhaven offers the opportunity to take a day trip to France or from the marina, a boat trip to explore the Seven Sisters Heritage Coast. The area also produces some excellent wines so don’t leave without taking a tour around a Sussex vineyard. Beach 150 yards. Shop 800 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

when we booked the holiday included a hot tub which we paid for. We made two phone calls to cottages .com to confirm the hot tub would be available. On arrival this was not the case, I had to make several phone calls to try to get this rectified. I was eventually told that the hot tub would not be available for the duration of our holiday.Although we did get some compensation it somewhat spoiled our holiday

We had a lovely week at Fairwinds. . The bungalow is very well positioned and offers fabulous views and walks. The pool is very welcome and can be used covered or uncovered. The amenities within the bungalow are very good, with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We went as a family of 4 with 2 small dogs and were made to feel very welcome by the housekeeper when we arrived. There are 2 pubs within easy walking distance which offer great food. The one further away has a better menu and you can take the dogs inside. There are several good takeaways locally, a little convenience shop which you can walk to and two larger supermarkets within a 5 minute drive. I would definitely recommend this property and we will also return.

Overall I can say it was a nice stay at Fairwind. The house has an excellent location directly at the cliff. Walks with the dog are very good with direct nice view along the sea. Local restaurants and food stores are near by. The house is equipped sufficient enough - starters like hand soap and toilet paper are provided and sufficient for the whole stay. The overall cleanness was good but could be improved a bit.

Really nice holiday bungalow in a beautiful location. Quiet area even though it is on coastal path. Great walks / dog walks right from the front door.

cottage nicely located right by sea. got lovely pool in garden and beds are good. but: standard of cleanliness very poor, also equipment quite poor: no garden furniture, only a few TV channels, no DVD player, no CD player,no games. no coffee making facilities

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. There is garden furniture which is stored in the bedroom cupboard, we are sorry you missed it. There are lots of books and games provided and the TV is a free view TV with over 70 channels. We don't advertise a DVD player and so unsure as to why one was expected. We are sorry for the standard of cleaning, we are now using a new cleaning company.
