Set in 40 acres and overlooking its own private fly fishing lake, this superb detached barn conversion provides an excellent holiday location for large groups and families. Stabling is available for your horse by arrangement with the owners. The Barn comes complete with a large open-plan living area with log burner making it ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations with a second sitting area complete with pool table adjacent. There is also an 8-seater hot tub available for guests use, with shower and changing facilities. Should you have a special occasion to celebrate, the owner can arrange for a local celebrity chef to prepare a special meal. All the bedrooms come with a tv and en-suite facilities. The village is approximately 3/4 mile and boasts a post office/shop and a pub providing excellent food.

Lovely spacious cottage. Comfortable sofas and beds. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of towels. Lovely welcome hamper. Ideal location. Felt rural but not far from amenities and tourist attractions. Kitchen was well equipped. Fishing lake was a nice bonus but quite overgrown around the edges so difficult to fish. Not much to grumble about, however, the owner had obviously had previous bad experiences as there had been visible damage to the floors and pool table. Cracked tiles were sharp In places. The outdoor seating was uncomfortable but plenty of space for us all. The outdoor shower block was very useful for the hot tub and also rinsing the dog off after muddy walks. The fenced off garden was very secure and great for keeping children and pets safe.

Lovely welcome including a delicious Lemon Drizzle cake! Nicely decorated with warm rooms, including am easy to light log burner. We used the Hot tub even though it was snowing with temperatures at a 'feels like' -7C... Seemed a shame not to as it's drained and cleaned after every booking. There's a pub and local shop less than a mile away, and another pub around two miles in the opposite direction. Plenty to do nearby but you do need to drive there.
