Perfect for a relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of Cornwall, this stunning complex of 7 holiday cottages (refs UKC1252, UKC1253, UKC1254, UKC1255, UKC1256, UKC1257 and UKC1258) nestle on the western edge of Bodmin Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Converted from original stone and slate barns, they retain many original features including exposed timbers and stone walls. They are equipped with all the home comforts you could need for a quiet, relaxing break, and panoramic views of rolling Cornish countryside can be enjoyed from most windows. Large gardens, picnic areas and a built-in barbecue surround the cottages. There is additional seating and picnic areas around the private lakes, and a cream tea on arrival. Free use of our private lake complex with pleasure fishing including roach, rudd and bream, suited to beginners and children, just 100 yards from the cottages (tackle/bait not available on-site, bring your own or can be purchased locally. An EA rod licence is required to fish at East Rose, which can be purchase online via the post office).
Ideally located for walkers and dogs, the area is superb for exploring many of Cornwall’s attractions and beaches. The North Cornish Coast, a leisurely 25-minute drive, has wonderful beaches and seaside villages, and the towns of Wadebridge, Padstow, Port Isaac, Polzeath and Rock can be reached within a 30-minute drive. This central location means that exploring Cornwall couldn’t be easier, and attractions such as The Eden Project, Looe and Polperro are within a gentle 45-minute drive. The famous 18-hole Bowood Park Golf Course, 9 miles, is regarded as one of the South West’s premier parkland courses and once formed a part of the 13th century deer park, owned by Edward Prince of Wales, formerly known as The Black Prince. The exquisite Camel Trail starts close by, and the moorland village of St Breward is just 1 mile, which is best known for its granite quarries, breathtaking views, rich history and roaming ponies. There is a well-equipped village shop and a dog friendly pub/restaurant in the village, ideal for relaxing in after a busy day exploring.
