We loved the house - perfect for a big group of friends (including small children). Loads of space for everyone to enjoy themselves, and the swimming pool and hot tub were a big bonus. I can't tell you anything about local amenities because we didn't leave the grounds!

We went with our family to celebrate a 60th birthday, The ages ranged from 18 months to 60 years! There were 16 of us and we all had an amazing time. The house I’d so big and you have plenty of room. No one felt on top of anyone and it was an extremely special time. One we will never forget.

Excellent holiday home. Beautifully spacious, clean and well-maintained and a generous welcome hamper - thank you. Everything needed for our group of 11 (and could accommodate more) in terms of space and in terms of practical things like crockery, amount and size of pans etc (we've stayed some places where this has not been the case!) Close to Blandford and multiple supermarkets and shops for convenience; nearby walks and the River Stour, plus plenty to do at home, play pool, air hockey, tennis or go in the hot tub. Outdoor pool not yet heated (due to ground temperature) and so not open for use during our February stay. Overall excellent accommodation with no issues, a beautiful home and a lovely holiday location.

Our party of 14 adults, celebrating a 40th birthday, all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the fantastic Downwood Vineyard. Communication with the owner and caretaker was clear, professional and friendly and they took care of everything for us. The property is beautiful, has plenty of space and each room is immaculate. The kitchen is well-equipped with a big fridge, wine fridge, and the all-important dishwasher! It was too cold to use the pool, but some of us made use of the hot tub which was lovely on a cold winter night! We had a local pizza delivery one night, and a delicious catered dinner another night (Brown Goose Catering). The games room was a huge hit with everyone, especially the air hockey and pool table. We would love to return one day!
