You enter the property into the open plan living/kitchen area on the ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped and well-presented and has all the necessities should you not wish to dine out at the many restaurants and pubs close by. The living area has a comfortable sofa which is great to snuggle up on in front of the Smart TV. Up one flight of stairs you have a good-sized bedroom with plenty of storage space and a plush kingsize bed with luxurious linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep after exploring this stunning area. On the same floor is the stylish en-suite bathroom with contemporary white sanitary ware and large walk-in shower.
The location of Dove Cottage is perfect; Knaresborough has its own fantastic market on a Wednesday and is also famous for Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well and boasts an interesting castle, painted by JMW Turner, perched high on the cliff top. Stroll along the riverside promenade, relax with an ice cream or hire a boat and spend an afternoon ’messing about on the river’. If you did want to go further afield there is the stylish spa town of Harrogate just a short 20-minute drive, Harrogate is bursting with fantastic restaurants, pubs, and not to forget the world-famous Betty’s Tearoom which is a must for afternoon tea.
