Grajo cottage is a spacious comfortable cottage, ideal for a family. The lounge is huge and the kitchen and bathroom have both been refurbished to a high standard. The kitchen is spacious and really well equipped - including a chopping board which we bought and left there (based on previous reviews) Bedrooms are all well equipped with plenty of storage, quality bedding and amazing views! Bathroom and kitchen were spotlessly clean. Elsewhere cobwebs (it is an old building) old receipts under the bed, dusty doors / skirting. Guests should be aware that despite the early check-out at 9.30am to allow for cleaning, guests are asked to clean the kitchen and bathrooms themselves before they leave! The cleaning stuff is provided to do this, but it jars with an early check-out. The outside space is basic but functional. The childs playground is not as shown on the photos - the yellow parts of the climbing frame, slide and swings are no longer there. (there is still a roundabout and small slide, in a secured area with cushioned matting) This may be beyond the owners responsibility, but worth potential visitors with little people being aware. There are lots of cottages / lodges on the site, so it's not a totally remote location. The owners secured a 2nd parking space for us, which was much appreciated. The local pub is walkable and provides great, hearty pub meals. Its a great accessible location for the northern lakes, Penrith, Keswick and the popular Threlkeld railway. We had a slight issue with the kitchen tap during our stay leaving us unable to use it. We reported this to the owner but managed to fix it ourselves - Bit disappointed to have not heard from the owner about this, or even a thank you. Overall we had a pleasant stay - Thank you

We had a great time at Grajo cottage. It was very clean with all the facilities. The only problem we had was internet. The wifi wasn't work properly. The location was great and very close to town centre. If I go to Lake District once again I will definitely choose the Grajo cottage again.

This was our 2nd time stopping at Grajo cottage and we enjoyed it this time just as must as the 1st. It’s a fantastic location and a lovely clean cottage. Only down side is no chopping board and the play area has being dramatically downsized.
