Lovely place and would recommend but for us the stair gate was missing so spent a lot of time keeping the dog downstairs

Midway between Penrith and Keswick, ideal for travelling in either direction. Car required, and sometimes the traffic can be heard on the A66, but we knew that would be the case when booking. Plentiful hot water, warm, cosy, and spotlessly clean. Twin beds very firm, but bedding was pristine and of very good quality. Would book a short stay again.

Loved this place so much room and being on 3 floors gave my family so much room to move about in. The only issue I had was getting a hot bath ... the shower was absolutely fine. Would recommend this place

The cottage was lovely, a nice base for exploring the area, fabulous pub near by, only down side was unfortunately not as dog friendly as indicated 😑

Very well presented cottage. Close to Threlkeld village which is within a half mile walk. Very good pub/eatery nearby and Keswick 15 mins by car. Ideal situation for exploring the Northern Lakes. Although close to the A66 very little vehicle noise in the cottage. Very comfortable and well appointed, would consider going again.
