Situated in the grounds of Honicombe Manor Park, this attractive lodge includes access to all the on-site facilities, and boasts its own private hot tub on the decked terrace. This detached lodge has views across the countryside and surrounding fields, and is just a short stroll to the on-site tennis court. The on-site facilities includes indoor (all year) and outdoor (April to October) swimming pools, gym, tennis courts and a children’s play area. There are many local attractions close by including the Tamar Valley an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor National Park, Bodmin Moor, and the beaches of south Cornwall, Devon and Plymouth. Set in over 20 acres of rolling countryside in the beautiful Tamar Valley, Honicombe Manor Resort sits on the Cornwall/Devon border, close to the Dartmoor National Park. All the lodges, cottages and bungalows on-site are privately owned and offer everything you need to feel at home. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lodge and in the Manor House reception and bar area. Honicombe is perfect for all the family, from the little ones all the way up to the grandparents. There are events held throughout the year that all guests can attend including craft fairs, live music and themed evenings. The on-site restaurant is open most evenings 5pm-9pm, on Sunday’s for a roast between 12 noon and 3pm and the bar is open daily from 5pm. Beach 20 mile. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on-site.

    No entertainment when we were there 14th to 21st July. Outdoor pool too small indoor pool too shallow. Bar not open until 5pm when we were there. Sunday roast exceptional value. Our accomadation well maintained, the hot tub was brilliant and spacious, the view was stunning from our lodge. Only one very big complaint....those floorboards seriously need fixing as sleep was at a minimum for all. Not what we went on holiday for. This has been mentioned repeatedly in the guest book for a couple of years but has not been acted upon. All in all a lovely weeks break.

    Lovely location, great views, property could of been great, but was let down by not being cleaned after the previous guests, had no use of hot tub till late 2nd day. Main dining area is great but on Sunday if you dont reserve lunch, you will be turned away. Cottage was covered in dust that has taken years to accumulate, blood and urine on sheets and throws,Kitchen was covered in grease cobwebs, a broken glass in cuboards with dirty cutlery, made for a very uncomfortable stay. It was clean as you go, as the family were tired of this we left a day early. No tennis courts, been out for weeks, we gave up with our complaint we were in a queue and the lady at reception lied to the guests in front of us, about similar issues, so we turned away was more like the movie carry on camping After a 10 hour drive you want to be able to relax, not be told dont touch or use anything since the cottage had not been cleaned. Once the cleaning team arrived 2 days into our stay, they did bare minimum as they did not seem interested in keeping the owners properties clean and good presentation.

    Response on behalf of the owner; Unfortunately in the case of your stay there was a mix up with communication and our housekeeper was not notified of your booking, and as a result the lodge had not been cleaned after the previous guests left a few hours earlier. We have of course taken steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again. As soon as the mistake was realised our housekeeper made an out of hours visit later on the same day that you arrived, to change the beds and ensure the kitchen area and bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned. She also made arrangements with you for a complete Lodge clean to be done on the Monday morning and has advised that this was done to her satisfaction, and having used her for a number of years I am confident that this would have been done to a very high standard. We would like to apologise again for the unfortunate start to your visit, but we are disappointed that despite our efforts to remedy the mix-up, you still felt dissatisfied by your stay.
