This fabulous detached lodge, set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, lies in the owners’ 1-acre garden with its own private driveway and enclosed garden overlooking the woodlands. This property is located roughly 6 miles from Trecastle, within the Brecon Beacons International Dark Sky Reserve, which has some of the best dark skies to view.
This property is not far from Cray Reservoir, and voted in the top ten places to view the dark skies. There are plenty of walks to be enjoyed, inparticular round Llyn Y Fan Fach Glacial Lake, home of the legendary Lady of the Lake! Cray Reservoir has some outstanding views of the open countryside and the Brecon Beacons, take a picnic and enjoy the peacefulness and watch the abundance of wildlife in the area.
The town of Sennybridge is 7 miles from the property and has a host of pubs and restaurants. The historic town of Brecon is about 16 miles away and has an abundance of coffee shops and history to view. You can visit the Royal Welsh Regimental Museum, or take a walk down the Monmouthshire Canal. Whatever you decide to do or explore on your holiday, this lovely log cabin will be a welcoming stay, and its fabulous wood burner in the living room will keep you cosy and warm in the evenings. A lovely welcome pack will be left with some home baked goodies and homemade jam and chutney; complimentary toiletries will also be left in the bathroom.
The owners hosts a charity event every year in July when their garden is open to the public to admire the beautiful flowers and shrubs. Guests are welcome to attend this event if staying at the time. Shop 7 miles, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
