This well presented, detached conversion was once the milking parlour on the farm. Take the footpath at the side of the cottage leading to woodland and a nature reserve. Alternatively, try your hand at trout fishing at Spring Hill Trout Waters across the track and catch supper. Nature lovers will also enjoy Brenchley Wood Nature Reserve. There are many National Trust properties in the area, including Knowle House at Sevenoaks where the film ‘Pirate of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides’ was filmed. Chartwell, which is home to the late Winston Churchill and his paintings; Batemans, where Rudyard Kipling grew up; and Ightham Mote, a fine example of a moated 14th-century manor house. Explore castles including Bodiam, vineyards and sample some very fine wines; gardens including the masterpiece at Sissinghurst created by Vita Sackville West and Harold Nicholson. Good rail connections from Paddock Wood to London can be reached in 50 minutes. Alternatively, head to Ashford and take the train to Paris in time for drinks. The spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and The Pantiles are less than 3 miles away. The coast at Hastings is approximately 40 minutes. Golf 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

What can I say, a beautiful cottage expertly restored with quality features, fittings and mod cons throughout. Marion and Alan were superb hosts, extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome to knock if we wanted anything but otherwise left us to it, we genuinely felt very welcome. The surroundings are perfect for a couple wanting to hide away in the middle of nowhere but with the convenience of a Tesco just 5 mins drive away and two lovely pubs 30 mins walk away via well kept footpaths. If you don't want to cook but also don't want to go out, we highly recommend the neighbours who are equally as welcoming and sell everything from free range bacon, sausages and honey through to pre-cooked frozen meals. We cannot recommend the cottage highly enough and will definitely be returning!!

We had a great weekend away for my birthday using the cottage’s location to visit a couple of National Trust sites as well as other things in the nearby area. The cottage was so cosy and a great place to relax in the evening after a busy day. The owners were lovely and we even had homemade cake waiting for us when we arrived! I would definitely recommend this cottage.

A lovely well furnished and comfortable cottage in peaceful surroundings. The owners are very welcoming and there were thoughtful touches including home made cake, wine and flowers. Dairy Cottage is light, bright and well presented and well placed for visiting the many interesting places in and around Tunbridge Wells.

Loved the cottage, not much to do for younger people without travelling. But can’t fault anything regarding the cottage, clean, modern and sooo cosy! The hosts were very kind and polite too, but not intrusive at all! Will be recommending to friends and family and likely return.

A charming small cottage ideal for two. A lovely, remote location so that meant the shops were some way away. A car is essential. Lovely hosts who were very helpful and provided lots of "extras", including a cake, to welcome us.
