Very nice cottage, dogs made to feel very welcome, however way too small for 2 adults and 3 dogs. Caroline and long term residents , very helpful with local knowledge..

A very nice and quiet place. The owner was very helpful. We loved our stay. The only problem was the mattresses. Both the double bed and the sofa bed were quite uncomfortable. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Dairy Cottage was an excellent place to stay. There was a friendly welcome as well as a welcome pack for us and our dogs. The surrounding area was easy to reach and driving around was quite restfull. There was plenty to do and see. The cottage was warm and welcoming and comfortable, parking was just outside which made life easy. Just right for a couple, very well equipped in the kitchen area.

Oven was filthy and did not work on two prime functions . No j cloths, sponges or decent clean wash up brushes or draining rack

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Very sorry you weren’t entirely pleased with the cottage. You only mentioned to me about the oven not working properly on the last day of your stay even though I had made clear that I am available for any query, it was a very easy fix and I wish you had given me the opportunity to fix it for you as soon as you noticed. The oven was perfectly clean and as always clean tea towels, dish clothes and oven gloves were provided.

We stayed for whole month of Feb '18 (v.cold) and found the cottage cosy, warm (plenty of radiators under own control), clean and compact. Caroline (owner) was friendly, helpful & easy-going. As were the horse owners when we (me + dog) wandered around the stables. Plenty of local walks (small canal was interesting), but a bit muddy before the frosts started !! Take-aways from Chinese, Indian and fish & chips were good & useful. Waitrose not far away.
