Description

A wonderful cosy bungalow situated in a secluded area, yet several attractions within easy reach - perfect for a relaxing break.

Enjoying lovely views and sunsets over Loch Sween and Jura, Cruinn (ref URW) and Moy ( ref UXU) are comfortable holiday cottages on the owner’s working farm. Cruinn stands beside natural woodland, and Moy is situated within a wooded glade and offers opportunities to watch deer from the windows or explore the seashore where seals and otters may be spotted playing. This secluded peninsula abounds with birds, flowers and wildlife, with seals, otters, deer and badgers. There are several sandy beaches and opportunities for walking, cycling, riding and boating. Ancient Castle Sween, Kilmartin Glen and the ruined chapels at Kilmory and Keills add archaeological interest. There are opportunities to view the beavers in Knapdale Forest or visit Taynuish Nature Reserve. Lochgilphead (16 miles) offers shops, restaurants, a golf course and an indoor swimming-pool, while a seafood meal can be enjoyed at picturesque Tayvallich or Crinan. Shops 16 miles.

A lovely little quiet and remote place with wonderful views and an abundance of wildlife, we had a deer visit us most days! Lochgilphead is the nearest place to stock up which is a good half hour drive away but didn't bother us as you can take in the stunning scenery on the way. Plenty of places to visit and explore and loads of walks which our dog loved. Our only complaint is that we found the bed quite uncomfortable and left a day early due to not having much sleep all week and some stuff in the cottage could do with replacing or updating but this didn't distract from the fact this is one of the most stunning parts of scotland we have visited.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you did not find our new mattress comfortable. I checked it myself, and found it very comfortable and even slept in! We will be refreshing and renewing as usual after a busy summer season.

Excellent cottage with views to die for and wildlife on the doorstep, literally. All set in a beautiful and very quiet area of Scotland. It surely surprised us. The owners are very friendly and helpful and keep this cottage to a very high standard. If you like remote, quiet, wildlife, views, walks and don't mind rapid changing weather, than this is the place for you. We loved it this autumn, we will be back in spring. .

Cottage was very clean and had beautiful views especially in the evening you can watch the sunset over Jura. Lots of interesting walks nearby and standing stones a short car ride away. You need to take supplies as nearest town is 16 miles away.
