The lodge is very clean and tidy - and I am a stickler for this! At the back is a very well enclosed and large garden - perfect for leaving dogs unattended. Anyone staying at the lodge should set aside an evening for star gazing, we saw the milky way and a surprising amount of shooting stars during our stay at the end of October. The only negative (for some people) is that the owners request you do not leave any pets unattended in the lodge. I understand, as I can see someone's dog has scratched the back of a pine door leaving deep scratches, but it does mean you have to account for this during your stay. For example, if you want to go out for a meal in a restaurant. We loved our stay and would definitely return. Many thanks to John and Sandra.
