Description

Situated within stunning grounds, this cottage for four guests is close to beaches at Eastbourne as well as plenty of attractions for all weathers.

Cowbeech Farm Cottage is situated in the beautiful grounds of the owner’s farmhouse on the edge of the village which bears the same name. Originally part of the old dairy and very much a working dairy farm back in the 1950s, it has its own enclosed garden off the original farmyard. The stunning farmhouse grounds have featured in the National Garden Scheme, and other magazines, and guests can stroll around the lake and marvel at the unusual Japanese garden. On the boundary of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within strolling distance of the local hostelry, which dates back to the early 1600s. A walkers and cyclists paradise, try the Cuckoo Trail, 19 miles of walkways and lanes that follows the old Cuckoo Line Railway from Heathfield to Eastbourne, and gained its name from the releasing of a cuckoo at the Heathfield Fair.
Michelham Priory, Herstmonceux Castle and its gardens, Drusillas Zoo and the Bluebell Railway are great days out, or spend a Saturday evening stargazing at Herstmonceux Science Observatory. Eastbourne with its beaches and pier is a 30-minute drive, and Battle is 8 miles with good rail connections to London. Should the weather be inclement, there is a leisure centre at Hailsham with flumes, inflatables and ten pin bowling. Beach 9 miles. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant 175 yards.

Step to entrance. All on the ground floor.
Living/dining room: With wood burner, 38" Freeview TV and DVD player.
Kitchen: With electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tiled floor.

A lovely well appointed cottage set in stunning grounds. Located in a quiet farm yard setting, conveniently located for the South downs, Eastbourne,Rye etc. The proprietors check that you have everything, but essentially leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. I would highly recommend a stay at this cottage and look forward to returning in the future.

We had amazing relaxing stay at Cowbeech farm Cottage. Everything you need is there. The gardens are beautiful, the children loved seeing the ducks and horses. The owners are lovely and very helpful. There was a welcome pack full with milk eggs, bread and cereal and extras. The beds are soo comfortable best nights sleep. We would definitely come back

Our stay at Cowbeech Farm Cottage was really comfortable and enjoyable. The owners, Colette and David were very welcoming and kind - after a very long journey it was really lovely to have milk, eggs tea, coffee and breakfast cereal ready for the next day. We enjoyed exploring the area and found it easy distant to the coast. The garden to the house was was very special and we found it very relaxing.
