These superb barn conversions maintain many of their original features, and enjoy a peaceful location in the countryside. Situated in the grounds of the owner’s home, these semi detached properties are 2 miles from the village, where you can grab an ice cream from the parlour of the pub during the summer. There are great walks round the farm, as well as along the river bank and throughout the area. This location is also popular with cyclists, so be sure to bring your bikes, and enjoy this delightful setting in style.
Beverley is only 2½ miles away and is well known for its racecourse, minster, many boutiques and coffee shops. The coast at Hornsea can be reached within 10-miles, where visitors will find many of its traditional amusements and its promenade. To amuse your children, why not spend a day exploring the wildlife centre at Hornsea Mere? York is a great place for a day out and is about an hour’s drive away. The Deep at Hull is one of the UK’s biggest aquariums and is well worth a visit and is about half an hour away. Beach 9½ miles. Shop 1½ miles, pubs and restaurant within 2½ miles.
The Old Barn (ref UKC998) and The Cart Shed (ref UKC999) can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

    Great weekend at the cart shed, we were in the area for a family wedding in Beverley and the location was ideal - far more comfortable and affordable than a hotel room (there were 6 of us). The barn conversion has been done to a very high specification and the accomation is spacious and comfortable.

    Lovely owner, very welcoming and helpful. The Cart Shed is in an ideal location - apart from the rutted, track road approach to Corporation Farm Cottages. Blinds at the bedroom windows on the ground floor would aid privacy. A mat in the shower areas would be helpful for those less able. All in all, a really comfortable stay in a quiet location.

    The cart shed is nice and cosy located down quite a long track and surrounded by open countryside, a car is essential as the roads leading to the accommodation are not very pedestrian friendly. If you are looking for a peace and quiet this is the ideal property.

    We had a very enjoyable holiday exploring the local area (Beverley, Hull, Bridlington, Yorkshire Wolds) as well a further afield (York, Whitby, N Yorks Moors). Lots of good meals in Beverley (especially enjoyed 'Sawadee' Thai restaurant), and there are several good village pub/restaurants within 20 mins drive. The cottage was everything we needed - quiet, warm, comfortable & well equipped. The owner was very friendly & helpful. It is well located to access Beverley's large supermarkets as well as the many independent shops in the centre.

    I don't know where to start, what a wonderful place to stay with family and friends!! There was 7 of us that stayed here and there was more than enough room for us all! When arriving at 'The Cart Shed' cottage we were welcomed by Ted who owns the cottages, he is a lovely, approachable, friendly gentleman who is always happy to help if you need him. There were many little touches such as milk in the fridge, Hand wash, Shower gel & shampoo in the bathroom and many more! There was also seating area in the garden with toys for children to play with. I would highly recommend these cottages to anyone and I WILL be returning!! This was by far the best accommodation I have stayed in... Definitely 5* standards!! Thank you Ted and his wife for such a wonderful stay!

    Wonderful barn conversion, very well equipped. Yes it is remote (e.g for a family with children could not walk to the village/pub ) but that is made clear on the advertisement. We found plenty to do within a short drive and loved just relaxing in the cottage and garden instead of just using it as somewhere to sleep as you do with some cottages. Owner very friendly and approachable as were people in nearby cottage. A real find.

    We have stayed in numerous locations over the years, but this outshone them by far, we had the maximum guests, yet there was still ample room. Upstairs is open plan, yet thanks to plenty of windows there were no smells from the kitchen. There is everything you would require on a holiday, irons dishwasher hairdryers etc. The rear garden is fully enclosed and large, using artificial grass means even after rain you can go straight out and enjoy the sun trap. The bedrooms are well equiped but a little short of storage, the bathrooms would put many hotels to shame. Outside wildlife abounds, we spotted deer, hares and a fox, and there is a pond with fish which attracts dragonflies. At night there is a lovely pub 5 minutes up the road, and on the way back watch out for owls and bats. You are in easy reach of Beverley and Hull. Its beautifully quiet and being back away from main roads makes it a very relaxing holiday, well worth the money.
