Corner Cottage is a two-bedroom barn conversion with an adjacent three-bedroom property called The Coach House (UK38044). Corner Cottage is stylish yet rustic with exposed beams and limestone features. The property benefits from a semi-private outdoor space to the side where you can sit out, read, enjoy a BBQ or simply relax and appreciate your surroundings. Allocated parking is adjacent to your property in The Courtyard. From here you can enjoy watching the resident white doves and see visiting nesting swallows from April to September.
The property is well-equipped with everything you need, and the small details make Corner Cottage extremely welcoming. The ground floor contains living space, dining area and kitchen, and the layout creates a wonderfully inviting environment. Upstairs is a kingsize bedroom with TV and Netflix, a twin bedroom, and a modern family bathroom with an overhead shower.
To the front of the site is a 2 ½ acre fully enclosed field that proves extremely popular with children and dogs. In it you will find a well-equipped children’s play area, dog exercise area with balls, a ‘chill out zone’ with tree swing and bench seating, and an in-ground fire pit should you wish to spend an evening around a crackling fire, sharing stories or toasting marshmallows. Elsewhere on-site you can meet the resident farm animals including miniature pigs, sheep, goats, hens, and ducks. All of these are pets, there to enhance the visitor experience. The latter also provides some excellent free-range eggs!
Brackenthwaite Farm is located within the heart of The Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape and so also makes a perfect base to get out and explore breathtaking and varied natural beauty including spectacular views, an abundance of wildlife, pristine beaches, enchanting woodlands and wildflower meadows, plus visit some wonderful local shops, pubs, and restaurants. RSPB Leighton Moss is no more than a five-minute drive from the property. Lake Windermere is a thirty-minute drive away as are Morecambe, Lancaster, and Kendal. For those with children, there are options including The Wildlife Oasis, World of Beatrix Potter, and White Scar Caves at Ingleton.
This property can be booked together with The Dairy (UK38043) and The Coach House (UK38044) to accommodate up to 12 guests.
