Cottage was dirty and smelt of dog urine. It seemed it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Bathroom was disgusting. House smelt dirty and unkept. Very disappointed and ruined our holiday

We wanted a place to get away from everything and this cottage was right on the money. Stunning views of mountains and moors, we were there in October so the weather was varied, this meant we saw rain clouds sweeping across the peaks, fantastic rainbows, lovely moonlit or completely black nights. During clear spells the stars are spectacular. We chose this also for our dog and he loved the cottage and the garden. Inside it was kept tropical at times with the new wood burning stove, with which we could heat the rooms we were using, it’s large glass another magical focal point with flames dancing and weaving, or simply the charcoal flickering in the dark. We didn’t intend straying far in the week we stayed , however we drove to Wick and Durness along really interesting roads where speed isn’t needed or advised as the views are amazing. Walking on the moor just through the back gate was fun( wellies required) and fairly challenging. The nearby” Skinnet beach” was wonderful and not a great distance or difficult to get to or find and marvellous to see. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this well equipped and fairly spacious cottage. Contact with the owner and family was easy , and they happily brought the extra supply of logs we asked for as fast as Amazon !! Few places can be totally perfect but we would highly recommend Coe An Easan to anyone wanting to escape from the mad everyday life we all seem to lead.
