Lovely location for those seeking a get away from it all location. You will need to use your car as there are limited facilities within the village. The beach is amazing when the tide is in to have a paddle with your pooch however this only happens once a day for a few hours in daylight hours. The beach is still great for walks etc even when the tide is out. The cottage itself is clean and tidy with everything that you need however there are a few issues with decor being a bit tired in places. The upstairs toilet flush had instructions to only use the big flush which we did, however this stopped working the last few days of our stay. Overall however lovely accommodation and the view from the balcony was amazing!!

Cottage is fine. Area is great if you want to explore and are into wildlife, great walks nearby. Best at dawn or dusk and different at low and high tide. We used the train from Millom and up to St. Bees. Nice views on journey and a good walk around St. Bees which has an excellent beach. Cottage is ideal for staying in after a day out and enjoy the view from the balcony. Wrynose, and HardKnott Pass are nice drives! Eeeek
