Beautiful accommodation over 3 floors very well equipt directly on the beach. Owners are very quick to deal with any problems as there was a leak while we were there and someone was sent out same day. Only draw back there is no enclosed are to let dogs out but you are on the beach and the only place to get food was 1 pub as fish shop was closed although we were there out of season and pub is not dog friendly

Very nice and well maintained cottage with lots of equipment and supplies. Great view over the small harbour and the beach/sea. The village was not great, no decent eating places or restaurants, many places not open on Monday or Tuesday. Had to go a nearby Water Ski complex for a drink, the nearest other place (Millom) also not great a bit tired and drab. Enjoyed the Cottage.

We booked Cockleshell Cottage because it had good reviews but we’re a little disappointed. It does have wonderful views but could do with a bit of a refurb. The caretaker was very helpful

Lovely cottage, very clean! all facilities included (although it took me a while to find the washing machine hidden in the bathroom cupboard) there was even towels despite it stating there wouldn't be any.
