Great weekend away as a group of 12 ladies. We loved the house and the view, and lunch at the Thatched Tavern on the Sunday was amazing. Lots of steps to garden/pool/hot tub so maybe not ideal for very young children or those struggling with mobility. Games room was a fun addition and the ping pong in the garage….hilarious games in there! It’s clear some of the house has had a fair amount of investment but there are still parts which need updating. The two downstairs bedrooms seemed plagued by damp. They have direct access to patio and garden but I doubt they get much direct sunshine, which doesn’t help. The one thing we’d have preferred is if the king size/double beds could have been split into twin beds. That would have ticked another box for us, but we were only sleeping in them and so we managed! The view from the dining area is amazing. Loved, loved, loved the huge table! Parking was plentiful but a bit technical with steep inclines and tight turns for manoeuvring. The lanes to the house are single track and not for the faint hearted! Overall, we loved our stay. It’s a fab house.
