This was a great property for a family get together. Some of the showers weren’t in great working order but that’s a minor point.

Stayed for a family break to celebrate an anniversary. The owners were very welcoming and provided all the basics as well as a delicious chocolate cake. Cottage was a great base to explore Dorset. Property was well equipped and cosy. Highly recommend

Churchview House was a brilliant location for our extended family get together and the owners were both very welcoming and very accommodating. It is true that the house sits on a very busy road but there is lots of parking and once inside traffic noise really wasn’t a problem (even in the heat of summer). I would also say that it is the same in almost every Dorset village we visited so basically Dorset is just a busy spot. The house was clean and tidy and as a former B and B great fun as everyone got a private bathroom and there was a whole drawer in the kitchen devoted to toast racks! The village is well positioned with Chesil beach nearby, plus Lyme Regis in one direction, Poole in the other and Dorchester just down the road. There was a petrol station in the village with a little shop plus a big tesco nearby in Dorchester so shopping wasn’t a problem. We had a great holiday and were sorry to leave.

The owners of Churchview are so helpful. Phoned them a couple of times before the holiday and they were able to tell me all about the house and especially the bedrooms so that I could plan exactly how the house would work with a large family group of 17, ages ranging from 2 to 80 years old. All the bedrooms were used and what a god send that all but 1 are ensuite and that 1 had its own bathroom with bathrobes (nice touch) The whole family had a wonderful holiday celebrating my parents 80th birthdays and Churchview had everything we could have wished for to cater for us all including a very nice BBQ and all the things needed to use it. As for the welcome pack, it was a great starter pack before the supermarket delivery arrived and an added bonus of a wonderful huge chocolate cake. The house is in a very convenient spot for so many of the Dorset highlights and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and have already recommended it to a number of our friends.

A lovely house, sadly on a very busy, noisy road. Downstairs space limited but the garden was excellent as "overflow". Some showers a bit weak. Organisation of Kitchen difficult to get to grips with in a short time but when we found everything it was well equipped and equipment worked. Dorset has so much to commend it and although we travelled 20 mins to get to the attractions the location is quite central.
