Nestling in the shadow of the ancient parish church of Kendal, Church Walk Cottage enjoys an enviable position close to riverside walks and the centre of this popular Auld Grey Town. Kendal has a vast array of attractions for the first time or returning visitor including Kendal Castle, the former home of Katherine Parr and a delightful shopping area, pedestrianised to create a traffic free shopping experience, boasting cobbled streets lined with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and cafés. Only 10 minutes from the M6, Kendal, known as ’gateway’ to the Lakes, is ideally situated for exploring Southern Lakeland and the Yorkshire Dales.
This quintessential character property offers delightful accommodation for the smaller party with original features of flagged floors and feature fireplaces combined with modern day kitchen and bathroom. I could not open the window in the back bedroom and the heating was constantly on, hot and cold taps in bathroom need to be looked at, as hardly any water runs through them, however the cottages situation, so close to the town and everything made up for this.
