Description

The Hayloft offers a cosy, romantic retreat close to the beautiful, wide, sandy beach at Hunstanton.

Hidden away so that you could miss it when passing by, The Hayloft really does feel like a secret romantic escape for two. Right in the heart of the action but hidden away with its own courtyard garden with seating area, and a private balcony with table and chairs to relax and enjoy an elevated view of the Church and the distant sea view. The Hayloft was converted in the summer of 2017 from a building dating back to the late 1800s and believed to be a place for stabling the horses when the mail was delivered to the town.
The Hayloft has been lovingly converted by the owners with fixtures, fittings and very comfortable furnishings. There is an open plan living space downstairs with the kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find yourself in the bedroom with an additional area for sitting comfortably in total privacy, this leads out to the outdoor balcony for you to enjoy late summer night evenings.
It provides a quiet and relaxing getaway, for those looking to enjoy all that Hunstanton has to offer, while also grabbing some peace and quiet and privacy. With so much to do in Hunstanton itself you could park your car on arrival, The Hayloft has its own private parking space, and then not use it until it’s time to go home, as everything is reachable on foot. A truly relaxing retreat for you to relax and enjoy this central location in Hunstanton. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. Shower room with toilet. First floor: 1 double (5ft) galleried bedroom with sloping ceiling and door leading to balcony.

Electric central heating included. 42" Freeview Smart TV. Electric cooker. Fridge. Washer/dryer. Courtyard with sitting-out area and furniture. Balcony with furniture. 1 small dog welcome. Parking (1 car). Please note: No children under 8 years old.

Both properties: Electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. Microwave. Wi-fi. No smoking.

The Hayloft was a very attractive new development. Well fitted out and furnished. The only problem we had was the toilet being on the ground floor meaning at night you had to go downstairs to the toilet. Just that this can be an issue as you get older. Also clearer information about the pre set heating would have been useful as it was set to only switch on below 8 degrees. When the night temperature fell to 10 and 11 while we were there this meant some chilly nights.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you very much for your positive and constructive comments and we are sorry you struggled with the bathroom being situated downstairs. With regards to the heaters, it is a shame you did not contact us during your stay, as contact details are in the information sheet and we are available every day and could have easily rectified this issue. However we have taken on board your comments and will leave clearer instruction regarding the heaters.

Well appointed and very clean, however in our opinion it felt as if we were staying in a converted garage. Ground floor was extremely small, very little natural light and cold, up the headroom on the upper level was ridiculous, very little room to stand up straight!!!!! Not for us,

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are very disappointed with the negative comments and low score. It's the first time The Hayloft has been referred to as cold...There are very efficient heaters on the ground floor and upstairs and a heated towel rail in the bathroom, all can be switched on and off and to whatever temperature you require at your discretion and they more than adequately heat the whole building. After nearly a year of renting The Hayloft out very successfully, it just goes to show you cannot please everybody.

What a fabulous place! Small , but perfect for two people. Great location, quiet but walking distance from the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. Nice sunny patio too. Very well equipped with everything you need and good quality furnishings. Welcome wine and biscuits were most welcome! We had a great long weekend at the Hayloft and would definitely return. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this great little gem! One of the nicest we've stayed in.

a lovely place, beautifully finished with high quality furnishings and equipment, cozy, comfortable, quiet, easy parking, dog friendly, thoughtful simple little extras that delight. Some may struggle with headroom around the bed because of the roof shape but we managed fine. Hunstanton is a little lacking in life and facilities in winter but you expect that and still love it. I can't think of anywhere else in the area that can match the Hayloft and we holiday a lot in this area. It's clearly ran and owned by people who care about their customers.

We had a great winter break at the Hayloft. It was warm and cosy in the midst of the snow and wind of the 'Beast from the East'. After long walks along the coastal path it was a perfect home from home. Well equipped - except it could use a potato peeler and a large serving spoon.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your positive feedback and we are so glad you had a lovely time despite the beast from the East. Also thank you for letting us know about the potato peeler and serving spoon ...we are on it.
