The property was spacious, comfortable and well equipment with a location to visit many areas and attractions. However only a small complaint, my wife and I visited with my in laws (in their nineties) who are slightly disabled, there were many tripping points with small steps in and around the property and the handrail at the top landing was very low next to a small step, any trip and fall could be extremely hazardous.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, I gather you were under the impression that you had booked a property through your travel agents specifically with a downstairs bedroom to accommodate your elderly parents. Although Cherry Tree Cottage has 3 spacious upstairs bedrooms, 2 en-suites, an independent large bathroom/shower/WC and an additional downstairs WC, it is not advertised as having a downstairs bedroom. In addition, the two small steps in the cottage which you refer to are not regarded as hazardous by the agency property inspector. However, we are delighted you still found it to be a spacious, comfortable and well equipped 5 star Heritage cottage.

A well equipped comfortable cottage, a real home from home. Although Bellerby had just one pub and no shops, nearby Leyburn had shops, banks and plenty of eating options. We enjoyed Bolton Castle, Richmond, Harrogate and walking the lamas at Niederdale.

Once again we had a great week at Cherry Tree cottage, Bellerby. Alan (the owner) was on hand for any issues. Highly recommended as a great place to stay, and local to Leyburn along with many other great locations.
