Majestically sited high above the Carno Valley, mid Wales, the cabin benefits from its own private decking area with an electric hot tub. A great place to fully appreciate those panoramic views or to do some star gazing as you ease yourself into the bubbling water during an evening. The accommodation offers guests a spacious living area with one double bedroom, shower room and option of a sofa bed. The well equipped kitchenette makes cooking delicious holiday meals easy, outside seating is perfect for alfresco eating whilst you gaze across the surrounding fields. You can be on the coast or in southern Snowdonia within an hour. Three miles back down the valley to Carno village you’ll find a good local shop and a pub. Whether you choose a stroll down to the pub, a hike up Cadair Idris or a day swimming at Barmouth beach, you might find that winding your way back up the valley to Cerniog cabin holds as much anticipation as your daily adventure.
You can walk and cycle on country lanes and footpaths nearby or head to Hafren Forest or the Elan Valley Reservoirs. The market towns of Machynlleth and Newtown are a short drive away, both have weekly markets and a good variety of individual shops. Both towns have lovely galleries and shops, takeaways and restaurants to enjoy. An hour away by car and you’re in Dolgellau from where you can head up Cadair Idris, the highest mountain in Southern Snowdonia. Also near Dolgellau, the super exhilarating mountain bike trails of the Coed Y Brenin Forest Park. Beyond Dolgellau, discover the the seaside town of Barmouth where there are plenty of facilities alongside its long sandy beach and harbour.
